Just now on Tverskaya street Boris Nemtsov, co-President of Peoples Freedom Party (PARNAS) was arrested by means of excessive force. He is one of hundreds of other people that were unlawfully held in the first days after the so-called elections.

We consider that massive arrests are taking place as a response to a non-recognition of the State Duma election results. PARNAS protests against these actions by the State, demands immediate release of all those held unlawfully and states that all responsibility for these actions and their consequences are to be born by the ruling regime of the country.
