Figures and winners of thechangers.eu competition

• Thechangers.eu website has been visited by 63.250 people and more than 980 have actively played one of the games. They come from 35 countries, including all EU Member States;

• The banner campaign with ALDE logo was shown over 57 million times in 22 countries. Over 43.000 people clicked on the banner to visit thechangers.eu website.

• We also have 400 people declared to be fans of thechangers.eu on Facebook.

• The video of the Campaign posted on YouTube has been watched 786 times.

We are pleased to announce that thechangers.eu competition has found its winners. During the ceremony in the European Parliament in Strasbourg last night (14th of January 2009) the three winners of cool ALDE bikes were announced.

+ Siiri from Estonia with 561 points
+ Viktorija from Lithuania with 462 points
+ Kai from Spain with 425 points

In addition, 50 ALDE backpacks filled with gadgets have found their owners. The winners will be contacted by e-mail by the ALDE Group to receive the postal addresses. This way we can expedite your winning items.

Thank you very much for playing with us. Together we managed to achieve much more than individually. Thanks to your efforts we made a difference.

The goal of the game is to raise awareness on climate change and give tips how to be more responsible and more environmentally friendly in our everyday life.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• To ensure that all participants in the draw have an equal chance of winning, we take into account the results which are registered from September 1st 2008 till December 31st 2008 inclusive.
• To ensure that all participants in the draw have an equal chance of winning, the top 5 highest scoring changers per country will be entered for the final draw.
• The top 3 winners of the final draw will win the main prizes, which are superb ALDE climate change bikes equipped with a helmet, a vest and a Micro Wireless Cycle Computer.
• For the remaining contestants, there will be a draw for additional prizes (50 back packs full of cool items).
• The draw of the winners will take place in Strasbourg on 14th of January 2009. The names of the winners will be published on the website www.alde.eu and www.thechangers.eu on 15th January 2009. Additionally, the winners will be contacted on the e-mail address provided.
• The will be a European wide announcement made which country has the biggest amount of changers and the highest scores.
