Electro-mobility is not only an issue for the automotive industry or the transport sector, but an important component of the whole energy sector. Electro-mobility must be considered part of an intelligent power supply.

The seminar aims at presenting the state of play of electro-mobility in Europe and outlining different technologies available for electro-mobility. Furthermore, experts will inform about the standards and infrastructure needed in order to develop electro-mobility in Europe.

Within the European opinion-making process, the Commission and the Parliament must proclaim the issue of electric-mobility as an essential field of energy policy. In line with the European growth and employment strategy "Europe 2020", a continued development of the different components on electric vehicles and energy is required and should not be left to the Asian markets.
