As part of the ALDE "Boost SMEs" Campaign this seminar aims to look at ways of boosting the participation of SMEs in cross border e-commerce within the single market.
The first panel will examine problems and facing SMEs in cross border transactions using e-commerce as well as the barriers they face due to complex procedures. The panel of stakeholders and decision makers will consider EU proposals on e-signature, common sales law and electronic payments as well as issues surrounding delivery of goods.
A second panel will consider the legal uncertainty SMEs face with disputes relating to digital trade and will examine the EU alternative dispute resolution and Consumer Rights legislation as well as issues surrounding the recovery of outstanding payment.
