Connecting Europe's Transport and Energy Infrastructures, Part II: Views from Stakeholders

    22/06/2011
Event date: Wednesday 22 June 2011 from 16:30 to 19:30
    Location: BRUSSELS EP PHS 5B001

One of the European Union's priorities at this moment is the improvement of the interconnection of Member States' infrastructures, in particular regarding energy and transport. In this context and in view of the upcoming proposals from the European Commission on the Multiannual Financial Framework and on the Trans-European Networks, the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats in the European Parliament (ALDE) established a working group to take an integrated look at these proposals. Our work aims at identifying the best ways for the EU to financially support the building of these infrastructures.

After a first hearing on 1st June 2011, when speakers mainly represented decision makers, we now organize a hearing on 22 June 2011, 16.30-19.00h, in the European Parliament (Room PHS 5 B 001), to listen to the key stakeholders who actually build or finance these infrastructure projects, to take on board their views.
