According to European Commission Data, an estimated 43 million people in the EU are threatened by food poverty. Moreover, extreme poverty is potentially on the rise as a result of the current crisis. On 15th November 2011, the EP adopted a resolution on the European Platform against Poverty and Social Exclusion. 

This seminar could be the opportunity to understand how to implement this Platform in order to address the unresolved problem of homelessness by helping the EU and Member States to draw up specific measures which would facilitate the integration of homeless people into society as well as ensure accessibility to quality housing.
