This seminar will look at new ways to guarantee a more transparent and pluralist scientific expertise, free from any conflicts of interest. The seminar will be organized around four examples of policy decisions (relating to drugs, GMOs, pesticides and chemicals) for which the scientific advise of experts were determining elements, but where the expert advise could lead to negative results for the environment and for public health.
