The main goal of this seminar is to bring up the issue of the quality of spending of the CAP funding and practical implementation and management of it.
This is one of the aspects that have always been left out from the public debate on the future CAP although it raises a lot of questions on legitimacy of the CAP in the context of public goods it is supposed to deliver.
This would be a timely debate useful not only for MEPs, people working in the EU institutions but also the general public to better understand the criticisms of European auditors on the way the CAP is implemented on the ground, while taking into account genuine difficulties encountered by paying agencies, so as to ensure sound financial management of EU funds as regards the CAP
